The 2017 PNWD District Assembly will be held at The UU Church in Eugene, Oregon, on Saturday, February 25. Join your fellow Pacific Northwest Unitarian Universalists in worship, workshops, fellowship, and the important business of the district.

Registration is now open! The fee is $75 for adults and $25 for youth.

The highlight of the day will be the UUA Presidential Candidates’ Forum. UUA Moderator Jim Key will facilitate the forum and all three candidates will be present: Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray, Rev. Alison Miller, and Rev. Jeanne Pupke.

Workshops are also a big feature of the day’s programming. There are five workshops from which to choose for the first session and six in the second. Offerings include board leadership, enlivening church music, small congregation worship, beloved community, inspiring giving in congregations, RE programming for small groups, community organizing, and more. A choir session also offers an opportunity to rehearse a song that will be performed in the 5:00 closing ceremony.

The 55th Annual Business meeting will be convened right after lunch. Delegate Certification details will be sent to congregation presidents and ministers in mid-January.

District Assembly attendees staying in Eugene Saturday night are warmly invited to attend the 10:00 Sunday morning service at The UU Church in Eugene. You are also welcome to join the Sunday morning meditation at 8:30.

A block of rooms is available at the Hilton Home2 Suites by Hilton Eugene Downtown University Area, 102 W 11th Avenue, 541-342-3000 for $119 per night. Book before January 25 using group code “UUC” to get this reduced rate. Lodging is also available at many other nearby hotels.
