The Second Sunday offering May 14 will go to The Muslim Community Resource Center (MCRC). To serve community needs, MCRC has partnered with other faith-based communities, including East Shore, and city and local services to connect people in need with resources and service providers. In March, MCRC and East Shore co-hosted an interfaith friendship dinner. MCRC works on refugee assimilation with several refugee intake organizations to support new refugees with basic needs and to connect them with local communities and faith organizations. MCRC also serves meals at a family winter shelter and provides food at a homeless men’s shelter. This offering will help to further these efforts and strengthen our relationship with MCRC.
