On Friday, June 18th, East Shore’s Doug Strombom was one of seven Americans whose leadership was recognized by a Steward of Partnership Award at the Annual Meeting of the UUPCC (Unitarian Universalist Partner Church Council).

Since he began co-chairing our partnership team with Barb Clagett in 2017, Doug has promoted and funded the construction of a much needed 3-classroom addition to the English medium primary and preschool that East Shore Unitarians helped Kharang Unitarians launch in 2007. Doug also led in development of a sponsorship program that has enabled 20 children from the most disadvantaged families in Kharang to attend classes.  See photos and read more about Doug’s dedicated labors of love on page 5 of the Spring issue of the Partner Church News.

And keep watching these emails for news of our upcoming Partnership Sunday Service on July 25th and our PartnerPalooza celebration on August 28th.
