It’s time to start cleaning out your closets, drawers, and garages! Mark your calendars for the 7th annual Trinkets & Treasures sale coming up this summer on August 24-25, with a “pre sale” to East Shore members on August 23. The Khasi Hills Ministry Team is once again raising funds for the Friendship School teachers in the village of Kharang in the Khasi Hills of NE India, where Unitarianism waxes strongly and education in an English-medium school is highly valued.
We need donations in good condition, such as clothing, shoes, toys, games, kitchenware, gardening equipment, jewelry, books, and tech equipment. While we cannot accept large items like furniture, we will have a bulletin board with your photos of those items, should you choose to donate them.
Please hold on to your items until early-to-mid August, when a collection room will be available at church.
Requests for volunteers to help sort, price, and sell items will be coming in early summer. It’s a great opportunity to be with friends – old and new -while contributing to a most worthwhile project for our Unitarian friends in NE India!
