Advocate for Climate and Environmental Justice!

Jan 28, 2021 | Justice, News

Please consider participating this year in Interfaith Advocacy Day (IFAD) in Olympia on February 11th  organized by Faith Action Network (FAN), a diverse coalition of over 150 faith communities across Washington state who advocate for the common good.  Each year, FAN adopts a legislative agenda to advance justice and educates members of faith communities on public policy issues.  This year, FAN is focusing on advancing civil rights, criminal justice and tax reform, access to health care, affordable housing and the environment.

This year’s FAN’s climate priorities include these bills: Clean Fuels, Healthy Environment for All Act, Clean Cars 2030, and WA Strong.

IFAD is an annual event enabling Washington residents to meet with their legislative representatives and share their concerns.  Unlike in years past, however, in 2021 you will meet with legislators via Zoom rather than in person.  FAN will arrange virtual appointments with your district legislators.  The day begins with information sessions in the morning with legislator appointments in the afternoon.  If interested,  please register and stay tuned for more information.

To review FAN’s legislative agenda and tools for your advocacy, check out: 2021 Pre-Session Training – YouTube. Issue breakout sessions will be added soon to YouTube for more background on FAN’s legislative priorities.
