The annual East Shore church auction will be held on Saturday, November 16t, 2019. It may seem a long ways off, but this is an event you won’t want to miss, so put it on your calendars now!
For those of you who are new to East Shore, our auction focuses around events which help to build our community. Members offer dinners, hikes and other social events where we can get to know other members better while having some fun together. The event itself is a fun social occasion too. You can fill up your whole social calendar for the year by going to the East Shore Auction! Other members may offer services such as babysitting, a ride to the airport, yard work etc. And a few members are even able to offer the use of a vacation home for a few days! We encourage you to start thinking about what you might offer to the community this year.
Another popular item at the Auction is the Fund-a-Need. This provides members with a special opportunity to fund a particular need at the church, such as new lighting, air conditioning and even low-flow toilets. If you have an idea for something that would help improve our church, preferably costing around $10K, we encourage you to make a suggestion. We’ll make sure it gets reviewed by relevant committees so that we have a range of options to offer to the Board for their decision by September.
