Do you love building community? How about food? Looking for a lowkey leadership position? Help me in creating a new Potluck Support Team. This team would be who I would call on when we have a potluck/Sunday food events. I would like this group to help by:
- Helping design the setup of the event so it’s welcoming and accessible
- Helping to figure out how many volunteers are needed and helping in recruitment
- Helping to figure out the menu options to include various dietary needs
- Helping to figure out supplies needed (are we using real plates or compostable? Some of that depends on volunteer energy)
- Serve as team leads to answer questions on day of
- Helping to create checklists or directions
We know we have 3 big potlucks: Ingathering, BBQ, and Thanksgiving. BUT, we also have smaller ones like congregational meetings and celebrations after service.
The plus side, no regular meetings! We would probably meet maybe a month or so before the event to get details started and then maybe the week of for any follow up, the rest can happen via email.
