On April 27, 2025 the East Shore Earth and Climate Action Ministry (ECAM) hosted a Climate Action Forum in the Sanctuary, featuring local King County climate action groups and leaders. The goals of this meeting were to learn about current actions being done in King County, to share ideas and initiatives, and to expand our mutual communities of climate action. King County Council member Claudia Balducci, and several representatives of local agencies and action groups provided speakers (see YouTube link below). More than 10 climate action organizations in King County attended, each with its own information table. ECAM partnered with other local climate action groups to put the event together, notably 350 Eastside and People for Climate Action (PCA). There was also internal support from the ESUC Indigenous Connections team and East Shore church staff. The Forum was well attended – over 100 participants came to hear the speakers and visit the various tables.
Thank you to all the volunteers and organizations who participated to help make the event successful, and to the East Shore members and others who attended and spread the word to their friends and neighbors!
Videos of the four speakers can be seen here.
