This summer, we are going to try something new! Some of you may have read about Community Sundays in the latest edition of UU World, others may have seen the General Assembly workshop on Action Sundays a few years ago. This year, we are trying it at East Shore!
What is Community Sunday?
On designated Sundays (this summer it will be July 12 and August 30), we will have a short all ages service for about 20-25 minutes. After that, everyone will be released to go check out some all ages activities! They may include (but not limited to):
- A discussion about the service
- A Sing-A-Long
- Yoga or meditation
- A discussion about current events
- Crafts
- Board Games
- Conversation Circles
You pick an activity and go there and enjoy getting to know one another in a different way. This allows for smaller connections and it’s fun!
I’m looking for people to lead an activity. Each time we will have 5-7 activities and I know we have so many talented people in this congregation just waiting to show their stuff! What can you offer?
