“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeing new sights, but in looking with new eyes.”

– Marcel Proust

This fall, East Shore is offering two Compassionate Communications Workshops with Pam Orbach.

Intro to Compassionate Communication – 6-Week Workshop Series

Mondays, September 9 – October 14, 7:00-9:00 p.m.

When we experience our needs not being met, and we also hear that some of what we do has impact for others, it can become confusing, painful and disconnecting. This 6 week Wednesday evening intro to communicating and connecting with compassion will create a possibility for us to engage with re-envisioning the shaming and blaming narratives we hold, and developing skills to have more power to increase connection with ourselves and communication with others.

Who is it for? There are no prerequisites for this training, an open heart, and a longing for connection and growth will take you all the way.

What to bring: A drink, and snacks to nourish you while we work
A willing heart and body ready to grow

Compassionate communication, the heart of Restorative Practice
If you have reached a time in your life where deeper self connection and rich engagement with other’s really matters to you, then this evening introduction to Nonviolent Communication is for you. We will explore compassionate consciousness, what it means, and how we can access it in our daily lives through the adoption of doable practices and skills. Please join me, I am excited to be hosted again by the East Shore Unitarian Church in South Bellevue. Let’s soak up connection and learning together.

Each week we will focus on one aspect of the skill set. We will learn and practice together. We will be present to whatever arises from the learning, and we will attend to whatever needs are in the room. I look forward to seeing you there.

Cost: $250, or $100 for East Shore Members. Register online.
