A great way to get involved is by volunteering! Whether you are looking for a one time opportunity or regular commitments, we have something for you!
Upcoming Big Events
Several times throughout the year we have large events open to all! We always need extra hands to make it work. Here are some of the events coming up! Click on the event and look for the signup to help.

ONGOING VOLUNTEER NEEDS
If you are a member or regular visitor looking for the link to volunteer in Realm, you’ve found it!
Sunday Welcoming Team
Greeters, Ushers, Coffee Prep, Zoom Tech
To help everything run smoothly each Sunday, we need a variety of volunteers helping to greet people at the door, usher them into the Sanctuary, prepare coffee and snacks, or provide online support for Zoom. We also need people to bring in food. Sign up for just one week, or become a regular.
East Shore Mighty Choir
Meets every Thursday 7:00 p.m. September through June, in the Sanctuary for rehearsals.
Everyone can sing! Even if you can’t read music, come join us. We sing a wide variety of music, performing twice a month during Sunday services. Online MP3 files are provided for every part, for you to learn from. No long term commitment, just come when you can, although through singing regularly together we build community.
Helping Hands
Offering meals, rides etc. to members in need
When a member has a short term crisis, they sometimes need an extra hand to help. By providing meals, rides to doctors appointments, shopping, cleaning and other support, we can make a difference to someone who is struggling. Opportunities are usually one-time events or short-term commitments.
Cooking for Porchlight
Please join us monthly to help us prepare a nutritious lunch for the men at the PorchLight Emergency Shelter. We are often looking for volunteers to donate items and to help prepare and serve the meal. Your willingness to help means everything to this program. Also, look for opportunities in October to help during their stay at East Shore.
ACE Team
Tech support for Sunday services – sound, video, zoom
Every week, we provide and manage sound systems, and video connection, especially for those attending via Zoom. If you’re technically inclined, you can learn how to set camera angles, vary the microphone volumes, and ensure that those online have a great experience. Training provided.
Grounds Team
We have 4 acres of wooded grounds to maintain in an environmentally sound manner, cutting back invasive species and allowing nature to flourish. We also maintain several P-Patches and the Memorial Garden, an area on the church grounds set aside for the ashes and memorial plants of individuals with a connection to East Shore who have passed away and for a place of quiet reflection. We meet for monthly work parties, with lunch provided. See upcoming events calendar for the latest signup.
Office Volunteers
Volunteers are needed in the church office during weekdays, to carry out basic office duties, answer phone calls, photocopying, data entry, sorting and preparing various materials. If you have a few hours to spare once a week, and are comfortable with basic office skills and technology, we can assign you regular weekly tasks.
Cooking for sophia Way
Women’s Perspective encourages all those who identify as women to join us in cooking a monthly meal for The Sophia Way. We gather on Sunday afternoon to make the meal.
