I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for the opportunity to speak at your service. It was such a privilege to share the work we’re doing at The Sophia Way, and I was deeply moved by the warm welcome and enthusiasm from the congregation. It’s clear that you’ve cultivated a very special community—one that is both compassionate and deeply committed to making a difference.
Your church has provided unwavering support to our mission over the years, and your “Share the Plate” contributions will have a tremendous impact on the women we serve. We are incredibly grateful for your continued partnership.
A special thanks to Rev. Dr. Maria for weaving the story of our namesake, Sophia, into the sermon. Hearing that message was both touching and uplifting, and it reminded me why I’m so passionate about the work we do. It was a beautiful moment of inspiration that truly affirmed my commitment to supporting all women as they move toward stability and empowerment.
I was also excited to connect with so many individuals who expressed interest in getting involved, whether by cooking meals or volunteering. Your community’s willingness to offer time and energy is such a gift, and I look forward to partnering with those eager to volunteer. This support is much needed and will make a real difference in the lives of the women we serve.
A special shoutout to Marty for being such a wonderful liaison between ESUC and The Sophia Way. Marty’s efforts have been instrumental in strengthening the bond between our organizations, and I’m so grateful for all the work she’s done to keep us connected.
