Join Amanda in her kitchen! Amanda Strombom, president of Vegetarians of Washington and co-author of the Veg-Feasting Cookbook, gives plant-based cooking classes, to aid people who want to reduce their consumption of animal foods and increase the amount of wholesome plant-based foods.
In the winter months, we crave warm foods such as soups and stews. There are plenty of ready-to-eat plant-based soups available in grocery stores, but making your own with fresh (or frozen) ingredients gives an extra boost to your nutrition. Amanda will demonstrate some of her favorite recipes for soups and stews this month.
These free classes are about one hour long. Register online beforehand and the Zoom link will be sent to you via email. The class will be suitable for all ages over 12 years, although younger children are welcome to participate too with parental supervision.
