As a community focused organization, it is our intention to bring resources and expertise to empower our members holistic lives. We have the privilege to do this through a financial lens in an upcoming workshop focused on teaching members strategies to maximize their financial security and resources to promote philanthropy.
The workshop will be focused on understanding how to best make charitable giving a priority in your personal financial life. The practical topics will range from regular monthly giving as part of your budget to putting together a constructive framework to leave a legacy gift through detailed estate planning. The workshop will cover best practices in charitable giving strategies including the benefit of using retirement accounts to make Qualified Charitable Distributions (decreasing personal taxable income) and how donors can benefit from setting up a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) as a legacy gifting asset. The goal will be to help frame how individuals and families across the full spectrum of financial ability can empower living in a charitable way with the resources they have. We will look forward to bringing practical and actionable items ideas to members to support their financial lives and planning.

We have several parking lots. Our upper lot, off SE 32nd Street, is closest to our Sanctuary, it has handicap and stroller parking. There is a roundabout for drop-offs. Our lower, main parking lot is also off SE 32nd Street. There are stairs that will lead you up to the Sanctuary. If that lot is full, there is also street parking on 32nd Street.
