Please join Meaningful Movies Bellevue for our screening of Chasing Childhood, a feature length documentary from ROCO Films. Chasing Childhood examines how children’s lives have changed from experiencing free play and independence to ones of intense supervision designed to create the perfect life. Unfortunately, this approach has, for many, resulted in high anxiety and depression. In the film, you will meet the Easons and their daughter, Savannah, who was hospitalized during her senior year for depression. Reconsidering their family values and lifestyle, Mrs. Eason becomes an activist who works to change society’s definition of what childhood means and how children are raised. Please stay for an informative discussion immediately following the film.

More Information

Learn more about the Meaningful Movies Project here.

Meaningful Movies Bellevue offers free films every fourth Tuesday of the month from September through May. All are welcome to attend these virtual social justice events! The films are followed with a discussion session that often includes local speakers. The Meaningful Movies Bellevue team selects what films we want to show each month and organizes the discussion session that follows the film. Transportation & Parking
Google Maps offers you door-to-door directions for driving, walking, biking, or public transit.

We have several parking lots. Our upper lot, off SE 32nd Street, is closest to our Sanctuary, it has handicap and stroller parking. There is a roundabout for drop-offs. Our lower, main parking lot is also off SE 32nd Street. There are stairs that will lead you up to the Sanctuary. If that lot is full, there is also street parking on 32nd Street.
