Meaningful Movies Bellevue: The Inquisitor
The Inquisitor is a 2025 feature-length documentary directed by Angela Lynn Tucker that chronicles the life, career, and legacy of trailblazing Texas congresswoman Barbara Jordan. Barbara Jordan, the first Southern Black woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives and the first Black state senator in Texas. She earned the moniker “The Inquisitor” following her electrifying, moral-clarity speech during the 1974 Richard Nixon impeachment hearings.

Meaningful Movies Bellevue is a team that offers a series of social justice documentaries on the fourth Tuesday of the month. All our films will be on zoom, “doors” open at 6:50, and the event starts at 7:00. These screenings are free to everyone at East Shore members and anyone from the community as well.

Transportation & Parking
We have several parking lots. Our upper lot, off SE 32nd Street, is closest to our Sanctuary, it has handicap and stroller parking. There is a roundabout for drop-offs. Our lower, main parking lot is also off SE 32nd Street. There are stairs that will lead you up to the Sanctuary. If that lot is full, there is also street parking on 32nd Street.
