Nature Walks: Deserts
Tuesday, March 9 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
We’ve all had powerful, sometimes transformative experiences of Nature, in our own explorations, with family and friends, any time we get a chance to get out and get into rhythm with our natural world. Nature Walks offer an opportunity for us to convene virtually and share experiences of many of the energies and environments that move us.
In the Nature Walk conversation we will first ground ourselves in the energies to be explored, be it water, desert, mountains, forests, etc. Music, multimedia, poetry, readings are all ways in which we may create a sacred shared space focused through those energies. The Nature Walk facilitator will then guide us through an open conversation about experiences we have had, feelings and insights, and hone our shared understanding of the potential for Nature to further enrich and empower our lives.
how to attend
To virtually attend, please Zoom in.
Come to the full series!
- February 9: Mountains with Amanda Strombom
- February 23: Cathedrals of the Pines with John Chmaj
- March 9: Deserts with Gregg Selby
- March 23: Oceans with Marilyn Mayers
Ideally each participant will come with a shared experience or two to place into the space, or even something from their travels (an object, a photo, a special artifact) to share directly in the Zoom session. Our goal is to build a deeper appreciation together of the energies fundamental to our world, as well as generate ideas on how to harness those energies to both heal ourselves and help to heal the planet which gives its all to us every day.
