Set against the serene backdrop of the Rainbow Lodge in North Bend, our annual Women’s Perspective Retreat offers a sacred space for connection, growth, and renewal. This year’s theme, “Our Stories, Our Strength,” invites participants to explore the profound narrative of their own lives under the expert guidance of talented spiritual director Carol Scott-Kassner.

The retreat will begin with a morning program dedicated to deep reflection and communal sharing, focusing on the unique ways storytelling fosters resilience and empowerment among women. The journey will continue in the evening as Carol leads a special session titled “Becoming a Sage,” offering wisdom on navigating life’s transitions with grace and purpose. Whether you are looking for spiritual depth or a supportive community of women, this retreat provides the perfect environment to honor your past and embrace your future strength.

Guest Presenter:  Carol Scott-Kessner, M.Ed. MATS, Ph.D. CSL

Carol is a retired professor of music education and renowned expert on musical growth and development in young children. After leaving higher education, Carol received a Master of Arts in Transforming Spirituality (MATS) from Seattle University and began her second half of life work as a spiritual director and expert in the spirituality of aging.  She is a Certified Sage-ing Leader (CSL) trained through Sage-ing International (www.sage-ing.org). She works with people who are interested in aging consciously and who continue to live vibrant lives and harvest their wisdom to positively impact their communities.

The Heart of Our Retreat: This event is truly made possible by the dedication of our community. We are looking for women to help in key roles, from leading a workshop, to hosting a welcome table, and assisting with event planning. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Erin Horner at [email protected]
