The Seabeck UU Retreat is an intentionally inclusive and multi-generational annual church retreat over Memorial Day weekend at the Seabeck Conference Center overlooking the Olympic mountains on the Hood Canal. The retreat offers something for everyone and is a wonderful way to get involved and more connected with members of East Shore UC, University UC, and other UU Congregations!

Pricing includes accommodation for 3 nights (Friday-Sunday), eight family-style meals (Friday dinner buffet through Monday breakfast), and the weekend programming for all ages.

In the mornings, adults and teens will spend time with our featured artist in residence while children have their own programs. In the afternoon and evenings there are all sorts of other activities available: boating, swimming, walking in the woods, basketball, music, tennis, horseshoes, crafts, birding, happy hour, or just sitting rocking chairs on the Inn porch chatting with friends.

2026 Presenter: Bowen Lee, Storyteller

Bowen Lee is a professional storyteller who has been on stage for national, international, and regional events. Learning with her is fun as she weaves story, art, and information together to engage, encourage, and deepen the learning experience.

“There is a power in story. More often than not, stories can transform people. Stories give people a hook to anchor themselves to something new and make it their own by reflection, connection, insight.” – Bowen Lyam Lee

Bowen will lead us in the art of immersive storytelling, and explore how to dig deep to tell fascinating and engaging stories. Bowen also plans to lead a workshop for sharing narrative songs.

Retreat Theme: “50th Birthday Celebration”

This year Seabeck invites UUs to come celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Seabeck Memorial Weekend Retreat. Throughout those years, members of East Shore UC and University UC have collaborated to host and enjoy this fabulous weekend.
