Spirit Makers – ages 5-9 – focus on the early stories, songs, and spiritual practices of Unitarian Universalism, a loving faith tradition. Our elementary class is a theme based curriculum, weaving the central story and topic from our Sunday worship into multi-sensory, multi-dimensional learning methods that kids can relate to! Our time together is inspired by Montessori, Spirit Play, and Maker Space pedagogies and is hands-on, play-based, and experiential because that’s how children learn best. Spirit Makers start in the Sanctuary for the beginning of worship, and then go to their class with RE Volunteers. Parents/caregivers pick up your Spirit Makers by 11:45am.
For more information on children’s classes for today see our calendar here
Register online or in the classroom. Spirit Makers is open for students ages 5-9, as well as upper elementary ages 9-12 that are not registered in Our Whole Lives class. Parents/Caregivers can always stay in our classrooms to help with transitions or check out our programs more. Parents/caregivers are expected to stay onsite during programs. Parent/caregiver volunteering is an important aspect of faith development, so please join us in contributing your time and talents to grow our community.

We have several parking lots. Our upper lot, off SE 32nd Street, is closest to our Sanctuary, it has handicap and stroller parking. There is a roundabout for drop-offs. Our lower, main parking lot is also off SE 32nd Street. There are stairs that will lead you up to the Sanctuary. If that lot is full, there is also street parking on 32nd Street.
