Water Communion
The Unitarian Universalist Water Communion was created in 1980 by activist Carolyn McDade and UU leader Lucile Shuck Longview at the Women and Religion Continental Convocation, designed as a feminist symbol of empowerment, connectedness, and life.
You are invited to bring a small amount of water to the service from a place that is special to you. During the service, you are invited to pour the water into a large bowl and say a few words about why this water is special to you. The combined water is symbolic of our beautiful diversity and our ongoing collective commitment to give life to justice, hope, and liberation.
Rev. Dr. María Cristina Vlassidis Burgoa will be preaching.
How to Attend
There are several ways to experience our services.
- Join us in person in the Sanctuary!

For those joining, cameras and microphones will be turned off for all viewers.. Please note, the services will be recorded, but at this time, there are no plans to share the recording.
More Information
Religious Education for children and youth happens during worship on Sundays. Children and youth arrive in the Sanctuary for the just a little bit and welcome in Sunday with a story and song. Then, they attend their own programs in the Education building. Learn more here!
