The ESUC Welcoming Congregations team cordially invites you to join us on Sunday March 27 at noon to watch an episode of HBO’s fabulous series ‘We’re Here.’ In this show, three world-renown drag queens visit a small town and work with the town in putting on an extravagant drag performance. This show is funny, entertaining, relevant, inspirational, moving and incredibly uplifting. There will be a short Q&A following the viewing, hosted by trans activist/teacher/singer Stephanie Dykes (who will be the guest speaker for the service earlier that Sunday.)
In person participants MUST BE VACCINATED! Read more about the process here.
If you are unable to attend in person but would like to watch the episode and take part in the discussion, please:
For those joining virtually, please mute as soon as you enter the room, so everyone can hear.
This viewing fulfills part of the requirements for East Shore to renew its standing as an official Welcoming Congregation among UU churches. Your attendance is warmly, brightly and deeply encouraged!
For more details, please email Eric Lane Barnes or Nicole Duff
We have several parking lots. Our upper lot, off SE 32nd Street, is closest to our Sanctuary, it has handicap and stroller parking. There is a roundabout for drop-offs. Our lower, main parking lot is also off SE 32nd Street. There are stairs that will lead you up to the Sanctuary. If that lot is full, there is also street parking on 32nd Street.
