Your Deceptive Mind: A Scientific Guide to Critical Thinking Skills from the Great Courses equips you with the knowledge and skills you need to become a savvier, sharper critical thinker in your professional and personal life. The 24 rewarding lectures of Your Deceptive Mind: A Scientific Guide to Critical Thinking Skills immerses you in the science of cognitive biases and thought processes. By learning how to think about thinking (a fascinating process known as metacognition), you’ll gain concrete lessons for doing so more critically, more intelligently, and more successfully than ever before.

The lecturer is Dr. Steven Novella. Dr. Novella is an assistant professor of neurology at Yale University. He is host and producer of the podcast The Skeptics Guide to the Universe.
