Youth Climate Con

Climate Con is a weekend gathering for UU high school students from Puget Sound area congregations, focused on climate justice. Youth will have the opportunity to:
- Build joy, resilience, and climate activism know-how
- Participate in a Climate Fresk—a gamified, interactive workshop that teaches the science of climate change and real ways to address it. This global model is facilitated by three experienced climate justice activists.
- Take action for climate justice and explore sustainable pathways to personal activism.
- Enjoy fun activities like talent/no-talent shows, nature time, crafts, games, small groups, and candlelit worship—all designed to build community, ease fears, and celebrate joy and imagination.
We hope you’ll join us—everyone will be there! The more, the merrier!

Registration:

- After registering, you’ll be added to the Climate Con email list for updates.

Who can attend?
- Youth in grades 9-12
- Adult sponsors aged 25+

- Arrive: Friday, October 11, 2024, between 6-7pm (arrive by 7pm). Snacks provided; no dinner.

Transportation & Parking
Google Maps offers you door-to-door directions for driving, walking, biking, or public transit.
We have several parking lots. Our upper lot, off SE 32nd Street, is closest to our Sanctuary, it has handicap and stroller parking. There is a roundabout for drop-offs. Our lower, main parking lot is also off SE 32nd Street. There are stairs that will lead you up to the Sanctuary. If that lot is full, there is also street parking on 32nd Street.
