Each year the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee holds a fundraising campaign, Guest at Your Table, to fight for civil rights on the behalf of all of us. Partnering with congregations such as ours, UUSC raises the funds necessary to advocate policies that promote justice and to sustain programs supporting grassroots organizations both at home and abroad. It offers learning and leadership opportunities for UU youth and adults with the UU College of Social Justice.
In response to this year’s GAYT campaign focused on Immigrant Rights, ESUC members donated altogether $8,387. Seventeen households donated enough to make the $125 qualifying match offered by Shelter Rock congregation of Manhasset, NY. UUSC thanks all those who gave so generously. With your support, UUSC continues its important work.
If you happen to be unfamiliar with the work and opportunities UUSC offers, we urge you to take a look at these websites: uusc.com and uucsj.com.
If you would like to get more involved with UUSC, please speak with Lynn Roesch or Marilyn Mayers. We could use your help!
