Unfortunately, the demonstration build and workshops part of this project must be put on hold. The City is requiring numerous edits to the site and structural plans, which will take time. Also, the fundraising campaign has not reached the minimum amount to cover material costs. We will refund everyone’s generous donations immediately.
Moving forward, the permitting process will continue, the church will apply for a grant to fund the demo project, and Hempitecture agreed to do the workshops next March. The university students are preparing their final report, and we will share this publicly. There is a possibility that next fall a new group of students will build upon this research.
