You responded to our need for contributions to keep paying teachers at our Friendship School in NE India and to support our Unitarian partner church there. You attended our PartnerPalooza! online event and learned all about our wonderful partners, their Unitarian history, and our mission of supporting primary education in the village of Kharang.
You exceeded all of our expectations in giving… we had set a goal of $7000, and you donated over $10,000! That will cover the school expenses and allow the church to deal more effectively with the pandemic.
An unexpected and really positive benefit of the fundraising was that the Khasi people got a huge morale boost. Or partnership WhatsApp group has been buzzing for over two weeks with gratitude and happiness that East Shore sees and cares about them.
