Do you have unused 5 Gallon (20lb) propane tanks sitting around your home? if you do please give them to me.
I work with a mutual aid group in Seattle, North Beacon Hill Mutual Aid (NBHMA). Among other outreach, we supply propane for people living on the street in the Beacon Hill and Hillman City neighborhoods of Seattle. We obviously can’t help everyone but those we can help appreciate it immensely, and generally share the heat and cooking ability with their neighbors. Usually we swap out empty 5 gallon tanks for full, thus keeping a supply, but pretty much every winter we run out of tanks as many folks don’t have tanks and need fuel for heat and cooking.

Tanks don’t need to be full, if they are that’s fine. We get a lovely discount at a local gas supply company in Seattle.
Expired tanks are also welcome as we can swap them for new or re-certified tanks at a much discounted rate.
Ideally the tanks could be brought to church, But I am quite willing to come pick them from folks up as well.
Celil says folks can drop tanks off anywhere by the garden tool shed on the hill behind the RE building.
I can be reached for pickup coordination or questions at: 415-730-0920 text or voice, text preferred. [email protected]
