Starting in early 2021, members of the Team will be reaching out to groups in the church with a request to share wisdom about how members of your group support each other. We are hoping to spotlight and share the practices that you value as you connect and work together. All of us are doing what we can to strengthen relationships within the congregation. We’d like to hear from you about the many ways to do that.
One way our team has tried to connect with church members is through community conversations about values and important issues. If you haven’t participated, we invite you to join us! Right Relations hosts conversations on the third Saturday of every month. (See “Let’s Talk in 2021” in this Beacon for more about these conversations. See pg. 6)
We invite your feedback and ideas about topics, as well as ideas about alternative formats for conversation. Please reach out! Feel free to contact Doug Strombom ([email protected]) or Carrie Bowman ([email protected]) any time to share your ideas.
We wish you good health and we hope that the spirit of the season fills you with gratitude.

Let’s Talk in 2021
Twenty-twenty is behind us and 2021 brings glimmers of hope as we move into the new year. Start this year in celebration with your East Shore family on January 16 – and every third Saturday of the month – for connection, awareness, community, and love.
Community discussions offer an opportunity to take a deep dive into topics of value and hope. This connection will continue to be so very meaningful as we slowly emerge from political and economic upheaval, social unrest, and masking up. Talking it out brings a chance to both share your thoughts and needs and to listen to and understand those of others. These discussions are powerful!
Join us Saturday morning January 16, from 10:00 to 1l:30 am. Watch for the January topic and zoom connection in upcoming eblasts.
