The Strategic Planning Task Force is holding monthly Listening Circles to allow all members and friends to express their opinions about various topics which will help us determine the future long term direction of East Shore.
We held the first of these in early October in two separate sessions, and the topic was “What does long-term sustainability of East Shore mean to you?” Twenty-three people participated in total, and we received a wide range of feedback ranging from financial security and balance, to the benefit of being a safe haven where we can safely discuss issues, the need to get our name out into the community, focus on social justice issues, and more.
Please plan to join us and share your thoughts about what makes East Shore special and where we need to improve.
Upcoming Circles
Our next Listening Circle sessions will be on the topic of “What are our internal strengths and weaknesses as an organization?” The dates for these sessions will be: Wednesday, November 5, 7:00 p.m. on Zoom & Sunday, November 9, 12:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
We will not hold any Listening Circles in December due to the crowded calendar.
In January, our topic will be “What external opportunities and threats from the wider society do you see as impacting ESUC?” The dates for these sessions will be: Wednesday, January 7, 7:00 p.m. on Zoom & Sunday, January 11, 12:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary
In February, our topic will be “What is the best use of our Endowment?” The dates for these sessions will be: Wednesday, February 4, 7:00 p.m. on Zoom & Sunday, February 8, 12:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary

We would love to hear from as many members as possible on all of these issues, so please put these dates in your calendar, and start thinking about what you would like to share on these topics. All are welcome.
