THANK YOU! Auction 2019

Once again, the East Shore community came together to create a wonderful Auction on Saturday, November 16th. Thank you to all who donated, volunteered, or bid – you made it a successful event! And I, for one, had a fabulous time as I hope all who attended did!

It’s time for the numbers: 150 bidders vied for 140 items contributed by 95 donors – Wow!

We’re still tabulating expenses so don’t have an exact number for the proceeds, although it looks like it will be in the neighborhood of $37,000 towards the Operating Fund, surpassing last year’s proceeds!

In addition, a whopping $14,725 was raised for Fund-a-Need and we’ll soon have automatic door opening buttons on our buildings, making our campus more welcoming and accessible for all. $1,720 was raised for the youth program in appreciation of their fantastic job serving the dinner at the Live Auction.

Both bidders and donors should have received email statements of winning bids. If you have not received these statements and believe you should have, please email Jim Shuman. If you have any questions about the content of the statements, please email Jim or Beth Wilson.

We’d love to hear your feedback! In particular, we’re wondering about your reactions to the online auction and the raffle, new elements we added this year. Let us know your thoughts! Email Beth or Amanda Strombom (next year’s chair), with your opinions.

This is my last year as Auction Chair and I’d like to express my profound appreciation for all who participate in the Auction. It is truly a community effort and my faith in the generosity of our congregation, as well as its capacity to laugh and have fun, is confirmed year after year. Amanda Strombom, my skilled co-chair this year, will take the baton as Auction Chair next year. Thank you, Amanda, and thank you all!
