In 2001, East Shore Unitarian Church became a Welcoming Congregation, the UUA’s program for welcoming the LGBTQ community. The UUA has since come out with a renewal program, one they hope each congregation will complete every year.
After twenty years, Director of Music Eric Lane Barnes and I are hoping to bring start the renewal process of recertifying ESUC as a Welcoming Congregation. We are looking for members who want to help with this process. It would be a one-year commitment to help choose programs, events, and coordinate with other teams.
