Spring Pageant: Uniquely UU

Join East Shore children and youth for a Spring Pageant, this time, virtual! We’re pleased to present to you all a fun-filled morning learning about Unique Unitarian Universalists. Who from our past, present, and future can help us uncover the mysteries and gifts of our faith? And who among us is a Unique UU? Are you?? Children and youth of the congregation are invited to participate in some live and several pre-recorded segments of this worship.

Decolonizing Spirituality

Online Event

Using stories from her (Snohomish) and other native traditions, storyteller Pameĺa Čəlalákəm will crack open the wisdom found there. Songs and celebration in the spirit of early harvest amid ecological crisis.

Christmas Eve Outdoor Candlelight Service

East Shore Unitarian Church 12700 SE 32nd Street, Bellevue, WA, United States

Our 4:00 Christmas Eve service will be an in-person, outside event. The church and grounds will be decorated for the holidays, and we will have seats, outdoor heaters and canopies set up in case there is rain. Attendees are encouraged to dress warmly (and to remain masked.) The East Shore Mighty Choir will sing several holiday songs, and the gathered congregation will sing a number of Christmas carols together. Reverend Furrer will preside with a holiday message, and Director of Music Eric Lane Barnes will lead us all in song. There will also be a surprise musical guest for the 4:00 service.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

Online Event

Our 7:00 Christmas Eve service will be online over Zoom. The sanctuary will be festooned with garland and candles, and Reverend Furrer will deliver his Christmas message from the sanctuary pulpit. Musical guests Brenda David and Paul Rosenberg together with Director of Music Eric Lane Barnes will sing holiday favorites in beautiful three-part harmony.

Winter Pageant

Participate in the intergenerational pageant presented by the RE children and teachers. The skit, “A Holiday for All,” was written by East Shore members Luna Jubis and Sunshine Glynn. Sacred Play

Guy Nelson will dive deep into the idea of Creative Play. It's a fun and powerful way for groups to interact and co-create art, stories and solutions in a complex world. Guy brings his talents and decades of experience as a workshop leader, improv actor, musician and author. He believes Creative Play can transform groups and individuals and is a deeply spiritual practice that teaches us to be present, open, compassionate and imaginative in all aspects of our lives. Come and see how we can learn it and apply it!

Annual Holiday Music Sunday
