Grounds Work Party

Come join us for our Grounds Work Party!

Feel free to bring a sack lunch and join us in the North Room at noon to chat and discuss upcoming grounds projects.   

Individual or partner work opportunities will be available.  Gardeners will be all around the campus, and you can check in for direction from volunteers at the Memorial Garden.

We plan to work on:

• Watering Memorial Garden and P-Patch
• Check drip system for failures again
• Trim additional large hazelnut branches overhanging the sanctuary roof.   
• Mulching with woodchips including the lower raised bed area, after it is weeded.
• Put a labeled plastic garbage can near the front sanctuary water faucet for Maureen to use when she takes care of the geraniums.  The regular green bins from Republic are too large for this.  Discuss at the meeting who will communicate with Maureen and make sure her yard waste gets emptied into the normal green bins.     
• Continue to weed and trim beds along the south side of the church property including the beds by the upper parking lot.  Clean up the entry ways including the circular driveway,  island and sign areas.
• Pull ivy—focus on high visibility areas such as near the entrances and sidewalks.
