Join your ESUC sisters to “Take Back the Narrative for Reproductive Freedom!” at the Women’s Perspective Annual Retreat, April 14-16 once again at Rainbow Lodge in North Bend. Registration opens March 4.
Our guest presenter will be Marley Banker (she/her), the founder of the Pro-Choice Washington Troublemakers, regional activist groups that support Pro-Choice Washington. She led the North Seattle Troublemakers chapter for five years, building community and empowering people to speak up for expanded abortion rights here in Washington state.
She is a member at Shoreline Unitarian Universalist Church and currently serves as Board Vice President. Marley lives in Lake Forest Park with her family.
Rhetoric around abortion care has been used against women for decades. But our collective power can be used to shift the culture around reproductive freedom to correctly describe the liberty, love, and compassion that reproductive care embodies.
We invite you to spend time at this retreat with warm, inspiring women. The community we create together will fuel our power to take back the narrative around reproductive freedom. Session topics will include compassionate healing around harmful abortion policies; learning the crucial role language plays on our path to success; and finding out what you can do to steer the movement forward.
Marty Wilhem is our Volunteer Coordinator and would love to hear from anyone willing to be an activity leader. And the food and lodging have been upgraded to “resort standards”, meriting raves last year.
