We are excited to announce that Beloved Conversations is coming back to East Shore. This workshop has been attended by over 60 members of our congregration and feedback has been very positive.

Beloved Conversations, Meditations on Race and Ethnicity is a 9 week symposium that explores race and ethnicity in an experiential curriculum with a focus on moving from our heads to our hearts. Participants report feeling more courageous engaging in cross-cultural dialogue, more comfortable taking risks to communicate deeply held assumptions about race and ethnicity and much more. Using music, poetry, literature, films, and theater the curriculum begins with a weekend retreat which is followed by 8 weekly sessions.

The retreat will be begin on Friday, March 31 from 6 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 1 from 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The workshop will be held on Wednesdays for 8 weeks (minus holidays) and you may choose either a morning and evening workshop time.
