April Second Sunday: LifeWire

Mar 30, 2021 | Beacon, Justice, News

One in four women and one in nine men in the USA experience domestic violence (DV) in their lifetime. LifeWire, Washington state’s largest DV organization and a nationally recognized leader in the field, has helped over 148,000 survivors of DV. LifeWire focuses on changing the culture that tolerates DV while assisting survivors in healing, becoming safe and self-sufficient. LifeWire assists families who have experienced physical, emotional or sexual abuse through housing, advocacy, counseling, outreach and prevention education. Your support helps their clients overcome trauma and develop lives free of violence.   After East Shore’s Sunday service on Sunday, April 11, come join us for a conversation with Rebecca Houghton, Director of LifeWire’s Board, to learn more about the history, services and future plans of this organization!
