On July 21, the Board of Trustees welcome Lori Saccardi to the Board filling the vacant position. Lori has been a member of East Shore since February, 2020. At ESUC she has attended some of the listening circles and has become acquainted with some staff members before we stopped meeting in person. Lori lives in Bellevue, and moved here from White Plains, NY because her son, daughter, daughter in law and 2 grandchildren live here. Lori was a long-time member of the UU congregation in White Plains, NY. She remarked her UU church in White Plains bears many similarities to East Shore in terms of size, demographics and some of the kinds of challenges we face. She served on the BOT of the White Plains UU twice and multiple other committees including a ministerial search team and Membership committee. Lori is a “process person” and a humanist. She enjoys being in a community where she can speak her mind and feel heard.
