During the service on July 10, Rev. Jennifer Alviar will talk about “Bridging the Divide through Food & Fellowship.” In order to expand on the theme of bringing people together over food, Share the Plate will introduce Project Feast as an organization to support in July. Project Feast’s Culinary Skills Apprentice Program combines classroom, kitchen, and ESL lessons to prepare refugees and immigrants for a job in the food industry. In late March 2020, Project Feast pivoted services to provide food assistance to immigrant and refugee families and seniors, providing over 10,000 meals. Executive Director Van Nguyen will join us virtually during the service on July 10 and stay afterwards to take questions and tell you more about the work of Project Feast or go to their website projectfeast.org
