Join us as we hear from several women as we honor mothers. And on the cusp of the reported repudiation of a women's constitutional right to terminate a pregnancy, those who have chosen - for a time of maybe forever - to not be mothers.
How does our faith lead our discussion of reproductive rights? We will hear from UUA President Susan Frederick Gray and other UU leaders, plus music and more.
Participate in the intergenerational pageant presented by the RE children and teachers. The skit, “A Holiday for All,” was written by East Shore members Luna Jubis and Sunshine Glynn. Volunteers and families please email the Director of Education Amanda Uluhan to participate in the pageant. Please join us for this seasonal celebration.
Guy Nelson will dive deep into the idea of Creative Play. It's a fun and powerful way for groups to interact and co-create art, stories and solutions in a complex world. Guy brings his talents and decades of experience as a workshop leader, improv actor, musician and author. He believes Creative Play can transform groups and individuals and is a deeply spiritual practice that teaches us to be present, open, compassionate and imaginative in all aspects of our lives. Come and see how we can learn it and apply it!
This lively event will feature the East Shore Mighty Choir, numerous guest performers, and several talented performers who are East Shore members. We will sing a number of favorite carols, as well as some new additions as we usher in this season with bright holiday spirits.
We’re pleased to present to you all a fun-filled morning reflecting on the various wisdom traditions who celebrate year after year since time immemorial during the dark of the year. You will work alongside the amazing UU children of the East Shore RE program.
What seeds are you planting for the new year? How are you weaving your magic into your relationships with others? How can we center beauty and goodness and love in all that's ahead? Watch this inspiring video featuring UUA President Rev. Dr. Sofía Betancourt and the UUA Staff. (Note: there is no live service this Sunday)
East Shore is richly blessed with a diversely musical community. This service celebrates many of our musical members and guests, from the East Shore Mighty Choir to the East Shore All Stars (featuring John Chmaj, Noel Barnes, Tom Ball, George Gatins and more) to violists Barb Clagett and Rafael Howell. Several special musical guests will appear this service - we want to keep them a surprise! Come celebrate life with song and exaltation!
NOTE: Earlier time & Virtual Only! Streaming from Seabeck to your home. Join Rev. María Cristina and special musical guest Melanie DeMore. “Melanie DeMore’s singing is thrilling. This is not a voice that comes along every day. This is WOMAN POWER WRAPPED IN VELVET.” - Ronnie Gilbert.
Happy Pride! Welcome to this joyful celebration! Bring your whole LGBTQIA+ selves and if you are an ally/co-conspirator, bring your joy to celebrate our fabulous Queer community. Because Joy and activism are part of our resistance against injustice and anti-trans legislation. We will also share our offering plate with Lambert House.
Join us this Sunday, June 9th, for East Shore’s annual UU Children and Youth Bridging worship. It is an amazing ritual and worship for everyone in your family to join in on. It’s also a special Sunday to thank the adults leaders who guide and mentor children and youth each and every Sunday. We’ll be featuring voices from our community and counting the blessings and gratitude to one another among us. All are welcome!
Join us as we celebrate our eldest members! We will lift up the stories of those who are 90+ years old. After the service join us for birthday cake!
Just like flower communion but with books! Bring a book, take a book.
We’re inviting a couple of people to participate in the service by reading a passage from their favorite book.
