August 27-29
Now in its 10th year, this event is dedicated to our dear friends in the Khasi Hills – fellow Unitarians (our partners) who have built an elementary school dedicated to instruction in English and focused on a broad curriculum. We help pay for teachers’ salaries and other pressing needs of the Friendship School.
Here’s how you can help right now: Save your stuff for the sale! We need usable clothing for all ages, usable housewares, sheets, towels, dishes, sports equipment, toys, games, art and supplies, working tech equipment, books, jewelry, and more.
If you have stained, torn, or worn out textile items like sheets, towels, or clothing, put them in large black plastic bags and put aside until August 2 when they can be brought to church. Items must be clean. We have the opportunity to recycle these items.
If you need to unburden yourself, contact Barb Clagett. She will gladly also accept clean, empty paper grocery bags needed for the sale.
