• Clara Barton Awards

    Join us as we celebrate our Clara Barton sisterhood awardees, women over eighty who have made notable contributions to East Shore and society in general. Clara Barton was a nurse, humanitarian, and lifelong Universalist who founded the American Red Cross. Honorees in her name will be presented with their awards during the morning’s service in the Sanctuary and Women’s Perspective will be hosting coffee hour in the North Room after service to celebrate. Come by to help us celebrate and to get to know more about Women’s Perspective!

    At this fun annual event, tea and a light lunch will be served in Spring Hall to honor International Women’s Day and Margaret Fuller. Hats are optional but encouraged! Margaret Fuller was a prominent women's rights advocate and key figure in the intellectual and reform circles that laid the groundwork for Unitarian Universalism. Through her writings and activism, she promoted ideals of individual freedom, equality, and justice that are central to UU.
