Last year, we hoped to be open in 2021, and while that hope didn’t come true, we did still accomplish so much in 2021 we wanted to take time to celebrate the past year. Take a look at just some of the things we did:
- Formed a Ministerial Search Committee and finished the Congregational Record.
- Passed the 8th Principle.
- Participated in the Beyond Categorical Thinking Workshop.
- Began a new and exciting RE Outdoors!
- Held a successful Congregations for the Homeless stay in October.
- Gather numerous truckloads of household goods for Afghan Refugees.
- Ran a successful Mission Fund Drive bringing in $30,000 more than our goal.
- Began Beloved Conversations Among with 19 participants.
- Had a great auction including a Fund A Need for new chairs.
- Formed a new Indigenous Connections Team who helped re-crafting the Land Acknowledgement we read each week.
- Hosted the Red Road to DC Totem Pole Journey which brought more than 100 members and neighbors.
- Helped several organizations including Congregations for Kids, Jubilee Reach and the Food Bank Farm with the money raised in the 2020 Auction for the COVID Food Relief Project.
- Started a new Pagan Affiliation Group.
- Finalized plans for our new multi-platform services allowing members to be in the Sanctuary AND on Zoom!
- We began the process for our Welcoming Congregations Renewal.
- Our Facilities Staff cleaned up several storage areas around the church and made a new closet for our Ministry Teams!
- The Earth and Climate Action Ministry Team hosted 300 Trees and helped give away trees to be planted all over the eastside.
AND SO MUCH MORE! Thank you to all the members, friends, and staff who made the best of 2021!
